Sarah is a registered dietitian with the Health Professions Council. She began her nutrition education by completing a HETAC National Certificate in Health Science and Physiology. She then received her BSc (Hons) Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, with clinical dietetic training in Bath and Durham. Sarah has worked within private dietetic practice and for Safefood, the Irish Food Safety Promotion Board, on a children’s healthy eating initiative.
Sarah’s dietetic training in hospitals in England gave her experience in managing a wide variety of clinical conditions. Her particular dietetic interest lies in gastroenterology: using nutritional intervention to alleviate some of the symptoms of a variety of digestive disorders.
Sarah believes that healthy eating should be realistic and achievable. She is happy to suggest simple yet effective changes to the individual’s diet whilst optimising their nutritional status.
